SID 2022 Annual Meeting

The Society for Investigative Dermatology (SID) 2022 Annual Meeting will take place in May of 2022 in Portland, Oregon. As of this update, the SID is still planning on meeting in person. We are working with our hotel and Convention Center partners to ensure that the venues are safe, staffed, and ready to receive attendees. Visit the Annual Meeting website where updates will be posted throughout the coming weeks and months…leading through both the in-person and virtual meeting components.

Abstract Submission Information

One of the key content components of the meeting has been abstract submissions. The online submission website has been open since November and the deadline date for submissions is January 18, 2022, at 11:59 pm ET (US).

The SID has chosen a later submission deadline this year to not coincide so closely with the holidays. Additional abstract submission information can be found at the following link.

Travel Grants

We are also pleased to offer several avenues for applying for travel grants to attend the Annual Meeting. We’ve separated grants opportunities into four categories (URM’s, Developing Countries, Canada/Mexico/South America, and General) with hopes of expanding our reach and providing access to those who may have financial difficulties in attending the conference. Details regarding travel grants can be found at the following link.

Complimentary Tabletop Exhibit

The SID will once again provide one (1) complimentary Tabletop Exhibit space at the meeting for each Coalition Member organization. We plan to open the SID meeting registration in late- January. Once we have registration opened, we will forward the reservation form to the CSD Members and begin confirming exhibit space.

We would like to get your feedback about the meeting. Are you planning on attending? Does your institution or workplace have travel bans in place that would preclude you from coming? Are you more likely to participate virtually as opposed to in person? Do the testing requirements for entry into the US (for those of you who would be international attendees) make your participation less likely? Please let us know your thoughts by visiting this website, via our Facebook page, or via our Twitter handle (@SocInvestDerm). Your comments will be
greatly appreciated!
